Photo Shoot with Erin Kenney from Nutrition Rewired
I was honored to do a photo shoot with an amazing woman who’s helping people improve their health and making a big impact while doing it: Erin Kenney. Erin is the founder of her business - Nutrition Rewired - where she offers fitness plans, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, and meal preparation to her clients.
We connected on a cool, fall morning in the city of Boston. Overlooking the beautiful skyline of the Seaport District sat Erin’s apartment, where she does many of her consults and meal preps. Erin’s your girl if you’re looking for a dietitian and/or health coach who really knows her stuff. And I mean really knows her stuff - not only does she have the degree and licenses to prove it, but she also lives and breathes wellness. Check her out here: https://www.nutritionrewired.com/
I’ve always been curious about nutrition, even considering studying it myself. So naturally, I spent the morning asking all the questions I could about how Erin became involved in the health industry, growing her business, and her relationships with clients. She’s been in health and wellness for a few years now, but speaking with her about it made me think she’s been in it for decades! Whether you want to believe it or not, nutrition itself is extremely science-based, and Erin’s ability to eloquently incorporate scientific facts into casual conversation is unbelievable. I understood everything she was explaining to me without being like “Huh? What does that mean?” She makes it easy for us to comprehend our health - and for many people, that’s the key to beginning a lifestyle change.
Erin’s need for updated photos led us to a variety of different head shots, outfits, and locations within her building. We began our morning taking photos on her balcony, which overlooks a portion of the city. Then we moved to inside her kitchen / living space, where she began meal prepping for one of her clients. One of the dishes on the menu: roasted rosemary carrots.
All throughout the morning, she was making sure I was well-fed, and of course, in the most nutritious way possible. When I arrived, she had pumpkin oat muffins ready, and then right before I left, she quickly prepared me a purple sweet potato dressed with sunflower butter and a variety of seeds. Let me tell you - she definitely got me hooked on the sweet potato!
We continued into the afternoon transitioning to the building’s fitness studio and deck area, where we took some more head shots, lifestyle photos, and active shots. Time goes by really fast when you’re with someone who is great company!
Not only did I love photographing Erin, but I loved spending time with her. We instantly clicked, and I can see why her clients keep coming back for more. She’s definitely someone who you can call your friend in addition to being your coach.
One more little fun fact: she sent me off with some magnesium oil to combat my restless nights. Is this girl generous or what?! Well-fed, and stocked with some goodies, off I went after a wonderful photo session.
I cannot wait for my next photo shoot with another woman entrepreneur. Know of someone? Let’s chat here.
Until next time!
